Adam Kern is an accomplished winemaker and sommelier with over 17 years of experience in the wine industry. After many years of building partnerships with winegrowers, winemakers, and wine enthusiasts, the time had come to realize a lifelong dream of starting a label that hones in on the strengths of Niagara as a winegrowing region. Kern & Co. is the culmination of strong partnerships, collaboration, and expertise with the mission to produce remarkable world-class wines.
Philosophy
Passionate about contributing to the industry’s long-term sustainability and pursuit of excellence, Kern & Co. showcases Niagara’s exceptional terroir, and recognizes the important role that great winegrowers, wineries, and wine enthusiasts have in producing wines of significance. Through the use of select grape varieties and vineyard sites farmed by premium winegrowers, we strive to craft wines with precision and restraint that demonstrate a discipline in focus. We explore diverse winemaking techniques with relentless curiosity; applying a sound base of knowledge and expertise while adapting and evolving with each vintage. The resulting wines tell a story of continuous improvement and express the nuance of each vintage while upholding an uncompromising dedication to quality.
